MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa — Multiple lanes of travel on Interstate 80 near Mitchellville are blocked due to a vehicle fire.

According to the Iowa Department of Transportation 511 website, the eastbound lanes are completely blocked due to a vehicle fire. The left lane of westbound I-80 was also blocked for a time but has since been reopened.

As of 8:30 p.m., the DOT was reporting a 15 minute delay for eastbound traffic and an 8 minute delay for westbound traffic.
