DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department on Friday announced several arrests linked to search warrants that were executed in the metro Thursday as part of a months-long investigation into illegal drug trafficking.

Sgt. Paul Parizek, Public Information Officer for the DMPD, said those arrested have been charged in Iowa District Court for Polk County:

• Jason Lee Baxter-Blakely, 37 — Felon In Possession Of A Firearm (2 counts, Class D felony), Possession of Sch I — Marijuana (Serious Misdemeanor), Possession of Sch I – Psilocybin Mushrooms (Serious Misdemeanor)
• Sara Ann Bowers, 39 — Possession of Sch II – Methamphetamine With Intent To Deliver (Class B felony),  Tax Stamp Violation (Class D felony)
• Charles Michael Bruce, 24 — Felon In Possession Of A Firearm (Class D felony), Possession Sch I – Marijuana (Serious Misdemeanor)
• Jessica Renae Gleason, 42 — Possession Of Sch II – Methamphetamine With Intent To Deliver (Class B felony), Tax Stamp Violation (Class D felony)
• Cary Frances Johnston, 46 — Possession Of Sch II – Methamphetamine With Intent To Deliver (Class B felony), Tax Stamp Violation (Class D felony)
• David Kelly Taylor, 52 — Possession Of Sch II – Methamphetamine With Intent To Deliver (Class B felony), Tax Stamp Violation (Class D felony), Parole Violation

Sgt. Parizek said more charges may be filed and additional arrests may result from the investigation. The US Attorney’s Office will announce anyone charged in U.S. District Court in the case as information becomes available for release.

Police and the U.S. Attorney’s Office Southern District of Iowa said search warrants in the case were served at the following locations in the Des Moines metro area:

• 800th block of SW Ordnance Road, Ankeny;
• 1400th block of Arlington Avenue, Des Moines;
• 1200th block of Wall Avenue, Des Moines;
• 2500th block of East 23rd Street, Des Moines;
• 1300th block East Sheridan Avenue, Des Moines;
• 900th block of Emma Avenue, Des Moines;
• 100th block of East 28th Street, Des Moines;
• 1600th block of Army Post Road, Des Moines;
• 2200th block of Lyon Street, Des Moines;
• 2900th block of Dubuque Avenue, Des Moines
• 3800th block of 9th Street, Des Moines
• 3000th block of Gateway Drive, Carlisle
