DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department said multiple search warrants were served Thursday morning throughout Des Moines as part of a drug trafficking investigation.
The efforts began around 5:30 a.m. and DMPD, along with other local, state, and federal agencies, served the warrants.
Sgt. Paul Parizek, Public Information Officer for DMPD, said the information is being shared to inform residents in affected neighborhoods and advise that there is no indication of ongoing danger.
An increased law enforcement presence is expected as part of the investigation.
Sgt. Parizek said more details will be shared as they become available.
