DES MOINES, Iowa –CultureALL holds an annual ball bringing together cultures for an evening of dancing, music and more. This year the festivities are even bigger as CultureALL celebrates 20 years.
CultureALL invites Iowans to join in their milestone event — an evening of community dancing at the CultureALL BALL on September 20, 2025. From 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., 20 cultures will come together for 15 performances at the Hilton in downtown Des Moines. There will be dance lessons, a fashion experience, global bazaar with pop-up street performances, interactive live art, and culinary cuisine inspired by local chefs.
For two decades, CultureALL has brought Iowans of all ages face-to-face with their neighbors. The more experience Iowans have participating in other cultures, the more skilled Iowans can be about interacting with differences. Since 2005, CultureALL presenters from 90 distinct cultures have presented 16,500 programs in 75 communities across Iowa, impacting half a million participants (538,025).
In honor of what CultureALL stands for, the BALL is a tribute of respect for the many people, heritages, and beliefs who add to the region’s prosperity. For some people who are experiencing hardships right now, this event is even more important to realign as neighbors.
The organizers tell WHO 13 this BALL will be a high-energy, discovery-filled experience. While attendees will experiences international cultures, there is no passport required. Just an open mind, a willing spirit, and a love for community.
