FORT DODGE, Iowa — The Fort Dodge Police Department have made an arrest in connection with a Tuesday morning shooting that killed one person.
Authorities state that just after 1 a.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to reports of a gunshot in the 500 block of N 28th Street in Fort Dodge. Fort Dodge officers arrived on scene and located a deceased adult male who had suffered a gunshot wound outside an apartment building.
On Wednesday, authorities announced that after an investigation 38-year-old Rolman H. Recinos Gonzales was arrested on Tuesday and charged with the following:
- Murder in the First Degree
- Trafficking in Stolen Weapons
- Person Ineligible to Carry Dangerous Weapons
Gonzales is being held at the Webster County Jail.
The identity of the victim is not being released at this time as authorities are still working to contact family.
