FORT DODGE, Iowa — A man died in a shooting outside of a Fort Dodge apartment building overnight.

Just after 1 a.m. Tuesday, the Fort Dodge Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 500 block of N 28th Street. According to FDPD, when officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound outside of an apartment building. The victim died at the scene.
