DES MOINES, Iowa – Fire crews with the Des Moines Fire Department were called to a mobile home park on the city’s south side early Thursday morning after an abandoned trailer caught fire.
Firefighters responded to Glenwood Mobile Home Park in the 2800 block of SE 14th Street just before 4:00 a.m. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the trailer engulfed by flame.
DMFD officials told WHO 13 the trailer was vacant and no injuries were reported from the fire. There was some slight damage to the surrounding mobile homes from the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
