DES MOINES, Iowa — A favorite Des Moines brunch spot will close its doors for the final time in September.
Americana announced in a post on Facebook that it would be closing after nearly 15 years in business on Sunday, September 7.
Americana opened back in 2011 and has since become a staple brunch spot in the city’s Western Gateway. In the Facebook post, the Americana team expressed their gratitude to their customers for the success the restaurant has achieved.
“While it’s hard to say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that together, we built something special. As the saying goes, ‘Don’t be sad because it’s over, smile because it happened,’” the post reads in part.
