MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa — A Mitchellville man was arrested on multiple sexual abuse charges Tuesday.

Des Moines Police Department officers arrested 35-year-old Skyler Terry on Tuesday with warrants issued by the Mitchellville Police Department. Terry was arrested on three counts of sexual abuse in the second degree.

The Mitchellville Police Department opened an investigation after evidence of child abuse was presented to authorities. Police say the investigation found sufficient evidence, and charges were filed against Terry.

Terry is being held at the Polk County Jail. The Mitchellville Police Department says the investigation is ongoing and no more details will be released at this time.
