DES MOINES, Iowa — The 2025 Iowa State Fair is over, and officials have tallied up attendance numbers, with the final count making it the third-most attended fair in the event’s history.

Fair officials said attendance was 1,160,121 people for the August 7-17 fair. That’s in comparison to the record attendance from last year’s fair of 1,182,682.

The 2025 Iowa State Fair saw extreme hot & humid weather with the heat index reaching highs of 105° some days, and multiple days of rain.

The Grandstand concert attendance record was broken this year with 131,755 concertgoers. The previous record was set in 2019 with 128,504.

The dates for the 2026 Iowa State Fair are August 13-23.
