DES MOINES, Iowa — There is one Iowa Democrat that is currently running for Iowa Secretary of State.
Ryan Peterman is running for office for the very first time. He was a naval officer for a decade and is now looking to enter into a new form of public service.
Peterman tells WHO 13’s Zach Fisher that he wants to restore nonpartisanship to the office. He seeks to expand early access and absentee voting windows that were shortened by incumbent Secretary Paul Pate.
