DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is investigating a Sunday morning shooting that left one minor injured.

According to DMPD, officers responded to an apartment building in the 900 block of 8th Street in Des Moines a little before 4 a.m.

Police said that a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg, but the injuries are non-life-threatening, and he is expected to be okay.

There have been no arrests made yet in the investigation.

Des Moines Police Detectives are continuing to investigate. No other information about the shooting is available at this time.
