DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is on the scene of a shooting that injured two people in the Mondamin Presidential neighborhood on Wednesday morning.
Sgt. Paul Parizek, Public Information Officer for the DMPD, said officers were called to the 1800 block of College Avenue a little before 6:45 a.m.
Two people were injured in the incident and one self-transported to Broadlawns Medical Center for treatment. Police did not release the conditions of either person.
Sgt. Parizek said the scene of the shooting is secure and there isn’t any danger to the neighborhood from the incident.
