DES MOINES, Iowa — A downtown Des Moines Cafe announced that Saturday was its final day after 20 years of business.
Ritual Cafe announced their closure in a Facebook post Saturday morning, saying, “Today is the last day Ritual Cafe will be open. After a wonderful 20 years, it’s time to move onto a new adventure.
The cafe didn’t give a reason for the closure but invited customers to visit on Saturday for a “last Ritual fix” while supplies lasted.
“Thank you all for your love and support. We will miss you. Remember to keep up the good fight and love eachother,” part of their message read.
Ritual Cafe, located at 1301 Locust Street in Des Moines, opened its doors in 2005 and became known for its monthly rotation of local artists’ work and open mic night.
