DES MOINES, Iowa — An individual suffering from a gunshot wound showed up at a Des Moines hospital Monday evening.
According to a post on X by the Des Moines Police Department, an individual with a gunshot wound arrived at MercyOne Medical Center. Officers located shell casings in the 1300 block of 12th Street, which is where the shooting is believed to have occurred.
Police said there is no ongoing danger to the public. An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
