BONDURANT, Iowa — The Bondurant Fire Department is the first in the state to purchase new LifePak 35 Cardiac Monitors and Defibrillators.
The LifePak 35 can send real-time data to the hospital while first responders transport a patient in an ambulance.
Anthony Rauterberg, the Assistant Fire Chief at the Bondurant Fire Department, said that the new LifePak devices will help save critical time when responding to a heart attack.
“It’s going to save so much more time from when the recognition of the heart attack from out in the field to allowing the hospital to know what we have,” Rauterberg said.
