WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — A weeks-long closure of an Interstate 80 exit in West Des Moines will begin Monday night.
The eastbound I-80 exit ramp to 60th Street, exit 122, will be closed starting at 9 p.m. and is expected to last until Thursday, August 21, weather permitting. According to the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT), the closure is happening so crews can patch the pavement.
During the closure, a detour will be in place for eastbound motorists needing to reach 60th Street. The detour has motorists exiting I-80 at the Jordan Creek Parkway exit and then turning south onto Jordan Creek Parkway. Motorists will then turn east onto Vista Drive to reach 60th Street.
For more information about the closure and a map of the detour visit the DOT’s website.
