DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police are investigating after a man said he was assaulted and stabbed at a Des Moines park.
Sgt. Paul Parizek, Public Information Officer of the Des Moines Police Department, said officers were called to UnityPoint-Iowa Lutheran Hospital at 1:30 a.m. on Thursday about a man who had been stabbed.
The 30-year-old had multiple stab wounds and was in serious condition but expected to survive.
He told police the incident happened at MLK Jr. Park at 1650 Garfield Avenue.
No arrests have been made, but the investigation into the stabbing continues.
