DES MOINES, Iowa — After a respite from humidity on Friday, it returned along with heat on Saturday. These ingredients will help set us up for storm chances on Sunday.

Lows Saturday night will stay warm as the main risk area for severe weather stays to our north along a boundary that will slide into Iowa on Sunday. Storm chances will accompany it by late day.

Those chances look to linger into the early morning hours on Monday. We’re dry after that until, hopefully, the 5th… though the European computer model does hint at slight chances for northern Iowa late Friday.

Below, a look at the European’s rainfall estimate from Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. It appears severe chances will stay away until next Saturday.

Highs for the next six days stay pretty much the same (above). Our muggy conditions and high dewpoints look to stick around.

Your WHO 13 7-day forecasts are above. The extended forecasts below look to keep us warmer and stormier than is average for this time of year.
