Chris McGowan to run for Iowa’s 4th Congressional District

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Siouxland Chamber of Commerce Head Chris McGowan has announced that he will be running for Iowa’s 4th Congressional District.

McGowan serves as the President of the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce and the Siouxland Initiative. McGowan had also appeared on Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds’s Lieutenant Governor shortlist.

McGowan made the announcement Wednesday morning during a press conference that was held at Novelty Tool and Supply.

During the conference, McGowan said, “Iowans raise the food, manufacture the products, generate the energy, and instill the work ethic that makes America Great. I’m running for Congress to make sure Washington never forgets.”

Currently, the 4th Congressional District’s representative is Randy Feenstra, of Hull. Feenstra announced earlier this year that he plans to run for Iowa Governor, following Governor Kim Reynolds’ announcement that she will not be seeking reelection.
