The Hawkeyes are flying high off their 40-16 win over Washington. This week’s opponent is Michigan State, a 3-3 team. The Spartans’ only Big Ten losses are to Ohio State and Oregon. The black and gold aren’t overlooking them.
“They’re a big physical team,” Logan Jones said. “Their two losses are to Oregon and Ohio State. We know they have a great coaching staff so we know it’ll be a great four-quarter game.”
“It makes it exciting for preparing for them,” Cade McNamara said. “They’re a really good defense, they’ve played some really good teams obviously and we’re going to play our best in order to win.”
“There’s a lot of teams 4-2, 3-3, 2-4 in the Big Ten,” head coach Kirk Ferentz said. “You consider they have played arguably two of the best teams, if not the best teams, not only in the conference but in the country their last two times out. It’s going to be a big challenge for us.”
It’ll be a 6:30 kickoff in East Lansing on Saturday night.
