CLIVE, Iowa — A bomb threat targeting a MercyOne facility in Clive on Thursday was deemed not credible by police.

At around 11:39 a.m. multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a report of a bomb threat targeting the MercyOne Family Medicine facility in the 1600 block of NW 114th Street.

According to the Clive Police Department, officers evacuated everyone from the building and an explosive detection K-9 from the Johnston Police Department searched the facility. Police said that no explosive devices were found inside the building and that the threat was deemed not credible.

“We take all threats seriously, especially those involving public facilities like MercyOne,” Clive Police Chief Mark Rehberg said in a statement. “Our top priority is always the safety of our community members, staff, and first responders. I would like to thank our officers, partner agencies, and MercyOne personnel for their prompt cooperation. We will continue to investigate this incident thoroughly.”
