DES MOINES, Iowa — Just before 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office was called to Storage Rentals of America on reports of a fire.

According to a press release, the storage facility is located on the north side of Des Moines at 3244 NW Prairie Lane.

Arriving deputies found several units fully engulfed and called in support personnel from Johnston-Grimes, Altoona, Bondurant, Ankeny, Pleasant Hill, Saylor Township, and Delaware Township to help extinguish the fire.
