DES MOINES, Iowa — Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in Des Moines Wednesday night.

According to a post on X by the Des Moines Police Department, at around 8 p.m. two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle near the intersection of SW 9th Street and Army Post Road. Police said one of the pedestrians is reportedly in critical condition.

The eastbound lanes of Army Post Road from SW 9th Street to SW 7th Street are temporarily closed. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
