DES MOINES, Iowa — A woman was taken into police custody Thursday morning after crashing a stolen car into another vehicle in Des Moines.
The crash happened around 7:15 a.m. at E. Sheridan and Saylor Road. Sgt. Paul Parizek, spokesperson for the Des Moines Police Department, said patrol officers were chasing a stolen red Ford Focus when it hit another vehicle head-on. One of the vehicles ended up in the front yard of a home.
The drivers of each vehicle suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Police took the driver of the stolen vehicle into custody. They have not released her name or any charges she may face.
The investigation into the crash continues.
