INDIANOLA, Iowa — A fire engulfed an Indianola home overnight and left it destroyed.

At around 1:32 a.m. Monday the Indianola Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the 15000 block of Kennedy Street. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a house engulfed in flames.

Due to the size of the fire, Indianola fire crews called for assistance, and personnel from the Milo, Hartford, Northern Warren, and Martensdale fire departments responded.

According to the Indianola Fire Department, the home was unoccupied, and no injuries occurred. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
