URBANDALE, Iowa — Urbandale firefighters and surrounding agencies were called to the scene of a house fire late Thursday night.

Crews responded to a home in the 8900 block of Carole Circle just after 10:00 p.m. When they arrived, they found a two-story single-family home partially on fire.

Firefighters were able to contain the flames, but part of the roof collapsed and a nearby vehicle was damaged. The fire chief tells us there was only one minor injury.

“One minor injury to the homeowner, but that was it. He was just evaluated on scene. Nobody was transported,” said Chief Mike Cardwell of the Urbandale Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
