KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Iowa State will take on BYU in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship on Thursday.
The No. 5 seed Cyclones managed to stay alive in the tournament despite two of their guards, Tamin Lipsey and Keshon Gilbert, struggling with injuries. The Cyclones defeated the No. 13 seed Cincinnati Bearcats 76-56 in the second round Wednesday morning.
Thursday’s quarterfinal matchup will be a rematch of the exciting double-overtime game where the No. 4 seed Cougars scraped the win against the Cyclones 88-85 at Hilton Coliseum on March 4.
Tipoff is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. (CT) Thursday at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN 2.
