INDIANOLA, Iowa — A Thursday morning fire forced the evacuation of a business in Indianola that manufactures replacement agricultural parts.
The City of Indianola said a report about a fire inside Herschel Parts at 1301 North 14th Street came around 8:43 a.m. Fire departments from Indianola and Norwalk arrived on the scene as employees evacuated the building.

Fire crews had contained and extinguished the flames by 9:16 a.m., according to the city.
The fire is believed to have started in an oil vat used in the heat-treating and cooling process of parts.
Officials are remaining on site to monitor overhaul operations.
No injuries were reported from the fire.
