DES MOINES, Iowa — UnityPoint Health on Wednesday announced the opening of a new retail pharmacy in east Des Moines.
The pharmacy is located in the Eyerly Ball building, located at 1319 Pennsylvania Avenue, across the street from the Iowa Lutheran Hospital. UnityPoint Health says no appointments or existing relationship with UnityPoint Health or Eyerly Ball are required to use it’s services.
“We are pleased to announce we are opening UnityPoint Health Pharmacy – Eyerly Ball and
expanding our services to the east Des Moines community,” said Brian Benson, RPh, Pharm.D,
FASHP, UnityPoint Health – Des Moines executive director of pharmacy. “With its convenient location and exceptional service, we hope this pharmacy will make managing medications simpler and more accessible for everyone in the community.”
The UnityPoint Health Pharmacy will offer a full range of prescription and over-the-counter medications, along with special ordering. Individuals will also be able to consult with pharmacists, transfer prescriptions, and utilize discount cards for those without insurance.
The website says the pharmacy is able to partner with Iowa Lutheran Hospital, the UnityPoint Health Medical Plaza, UnityPoint Clinic Family Medicine – East Des Moines, UnityPoint Health –
Eyerly Ball – Behavioral Health Access Center and UnityPoint Health – Eyerly Ball – Penn
Avenue for prescription and other services.
The pharmacy is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and is closed on the weekends, according to the pharmacy website.
