PERRY, Iowa — An Iowa woman has been charged with human trafficking after the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation says she tried to force a minor to engage in commercial sex acts at a hotel earlier this year.
According to the Iowa DCI, in January 2025 41-year-old Amanda Jean Goff allegedly took a 14-year-old to a hotel in Perry where she tried to have the victim engage in commercial sexual activity with another person.
On Wednesday, the DCI announced that Goff has been charged with first-degree human trafficking. Goff was already being held at the Sac County Jail for related charges when she was taken into custody for the new charge, according to the DCI.
A preliminary hearing for the human trafficking case has been scheduled for November 10.
The DCI said that no additional information will be released at this time.
