DES MOINES, Iowa — Police are asking for the public’s help to find a suspect in a weekend Des Moines shooting that injured a teenager.
Sgt. Paul Parizek, Public Information Officer of the Des Moines Police Department, said 28-year-old Kevin Fajardo is being sought in connection with a Sunday morning shooting at an apartment building at 3728 Hubbell Avenue.
He is facing charges of Willful Injury, Felon in Possession, and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
Police have evidence indicating Fajardo fired several shots in the hallway of the apartment building during an altercation with the teen. One of the shots hit the victim, a 16-year-old girl, in the face.
The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. She remains hospitalized.
