The FCC voted for a proposed rule that will allow US broadcasters to voluntarily transition to the ATSC 3.0 standard. The rulemaking also proposes to end a requirement that ATSC 3.0 stations simulcast their signal in the ATSC 1.0 format. #pressrelease
