BOONE, Iowa — The Boone Fire Department says they responded to an explosion at a home on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Boone Fire Department, crews received reports of an explosion on Monona Street just after 1:15 p.m. on Sunday. Crews arrived on scene and found a detached garage fully collapsed with a large debris field surrounding the scene.
The Boone FD says the garage was unoccupied at the time of the explosion and that no injuries have been reported.
Authorities have opened an investigation into this incident. According to the Boone FD, additional details about the explosion will be “released soon.”
