WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — West Des Moines officials say one person was transported to the hospital after being electrocuted on Monday morning.

West Des Moines Fire Marshal Mike Whitsell told WHO 13 that a call about someone being electrocuted at 1475 Maffitt Lake Road came in at 11:20 a.m. West Des Moines EMS responded to the scene and transported one person to an area hospital. Whitsell said their condition was unknown.

No other information was able to be released at this time due to HIPAA, Whitsell said.
