ADAIR, Iowa — An Adair man was killed during an overnight motorcycle crash on Interstate 80.
The Iowa State Patrol says the crash happened shortly before 1 a.m. on the I-80 westbound exit 75 off ramp. Authorities say the driver took the off ramp turn too fast, left the road, and struck a culvert.
The driver, 20-year-old Devon Michael Ernst, was thrown from the motorcycle during the crash and later pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Ernst was not wearing a helmet or protective clothing at the time of the crash.
