Forecast: Changing temps and rain chances ahead

DES MOINES, Iowa — It’s been a windy one, with gusts exceeding 40mph in Sioux City. It’s also been a warm day. Cooler air will begin moving in Sunday night.

Lows Sunday night will be in the 40’s northwest and 60’s in southeast Iowa as a cold front pushes into the the state. We’ll see more spotty showers tonight, with most of them ending by around 3 a.m.

Monday looks to be a mostly dry day, but rain chances go back up Monday evening, lingering into Wednesday. Thursday looks dry and warm again. Then shower chances return Friday evening into Saturday morning. Estimated rainfall amounts from Sunday through Saturday are below.
