DES MOINES, Iowa — One person was transported to the hospital with injuries from a house fire in Des Moines on Thursday morning.
Capt. Laura Lyons of the Des Moines Fire Department said the call for the fire in the 4100 block of 14th Street came in just after 11:00 a.m. She said the fire was related to cooking.
There was fire and smoke damage to the home, but no structural damage was caused.
The condition of the man who was transported to the hospital was not known to fire officials.
