DES MOINES, Iowa — It was another hot and dry one Thursday, with temperatures rising above yesterday’s. A mild night is again ahead.

Expect a breezy weekend, with gusts over or near 30mph both days. This will be occurring ahead of a cold front that will bring rain and cooler air into Iowa starting Sunday night.

Rainfall amounts keep trending heavier as the front parks itself over Iowa through Tuesday afternoon.

Highs for the next six days are above. We lose about twenty degrees Sunday into Monday, and the cool air sticks around next week!
