DES MOINES, Iowa — It’s been a cooler day than Friday, with cloud cover and a few rain showers. Spotty showers will remain possible through Tuesday night, as discussed below.


Lows Saturday night will be cool. Expect to see fog late Saturday night through late morning Sunday.

We’re still below average for September rainfall in Des Moines. A spotty shower is possible Sunday. A shower or storm will then be possible in the north Sunday night into Monday morning, when we’ll probably again see patchy fog. Most of the viewing area will be dry on Monday.
Another rain chance will come late Monday night into early Tuesday. This will be followed by another chance late Tuesday afternoon into very early on Wednesday.

Highs for the next six days are above. Below, notice we’ll see the air over central Iowa become less humid over central Iowa Wednesday. Temperatures look to stay above average through late month.
