Tailgating fun ahead of Cy-Hawk showdown

AMES, Iowa — Nearly 120,000 fans are expected to head to Ames ahead of the Cy-Hawk game on Saturday.

Iowa State and Iowa fans were at the tailgating lots well before the game kicked off at 11 a.m. Tailgating lots opened up at 6 a.m., and the fans started rolling in.

WHO 13s Skyler Stamps caught up with fans tailgating ahead of the big game. Check out the interviews below.

Iowa State University Chief of Police, Michael Newton, said that fans should have fun, but be patient when it comes to exiting Ames. With nearly 120,000 people leaving town at the same time, Newton said to listen to people directly traffic to ensure smooth travel.
