DES MOINES, Iowa — An SUV crashed into a Des Moines home on Tuesday night.

At around 10:15 p.m. officers with the Des Moines Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting that a vehicle had crashed into a home in the 5900 block of SE 3rd Street.

According to the DMPD, the driver said that an equipment malfunction caused him to leave the roadway and crash into the home.

There were people inside the home when the crash occurred, but no injuries were reported, the DMPD said.

The DMPD said that an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
