After over 25 years, Polk County Supervisor Angela Connolly announces she won’t run for reelection

DES MOINES, Iowa — After over 25 years as a Polk County Supervisor, Angela Connolly announced she won’t be seeking reelection.

Connolly was first elected to the Polk County Board of Supervisors in 1998. She represents the Fifth District, which includes the north and northwestern parts of Des Moines, the East Village, parts of downtown, and Saylor 2.

On Wednesday, Connolly sat down with WHO 13’s Erin Kiernan and talked about her time as a Supervisor and why she decided to not seek another term. You can watch the full conversation in the video below:
