DES MOINES, Iowa — Crowds of people are expected to be in Des Moines on Monday for the annual Labor Day Parade.
The parade is organized by the Iowa Federation of Labor. Organizers say it will be a celebration of workers in the state.
The parade route will go from the Iowa State Capitol to the Fairgrounds.

Parade participants can park at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in the lots near the Public Safety Building. Between 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., a shuttle will be available to bring people to the Iowa State Capitol.
The parade will officially step off at 11 a.m. Parts of East Grand Avenue will be closed from 6 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. for the parade.
The Capitol building was constructed by laborers, and now it will be the location where workers from all over the state will be honored during the parade.
Following the parade, there will be a Union Family Festival at Union Labor Park in Des Moines. There will be live entertainment, food, and activities for people of all ages. The festival will go until 5 p.m.
