Rainfall amounts have been fairly light over the last day or so. Scattered showers will continue in central Iowa through the early morning and in southwest Iowa possibly until early afternoon Monday before waning. We’ve seen cooler temperatures today when compared to yesterday due to the raindrops and cloud cover. Your weather timeline steps you into Tuesday below.

The slideshow above times out the rain chances. After Monday morning, only a spotty shower or two is expected in the WHO 13 viewing area on Monday and Tuesday. Rain chances ramp up during the day on a breezy Wednesday as a system moves through from the northwest. Thursday looks a bit breezy, cooler and dry. We’ll see another northwesterly system bring us another rain chance early Friday. Rainfall estimates through Wednesday evening are below.

Highs for the next 6 days can be found above, and your WHO 13 7-day forecasts below. We look to stay below average to start September, but also to get a bit warmer towards the middle of the month.
