AMES, Iowa — Some ISU fans can expect some nostalgia at Saturday’s football game against South Dakota.
For the 2025 season, the Cyclones, in partnership with the Iowa Farm Bureau, are bringing back the Cyclone Helmet Cart. The helmet cart was a staple at ISU football games in the 1980s. It was retired in the mid-1990s.
“We are excited to unveil our new helmet cart this weekend against South Dakota and restoring this tradition to Cyclone Football game days this fall,” ISU Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard said. “We are grateful for the generous support of Iowa Farm Bureau as well as the hard work and dedication of all of Iowa’s farmers in helping to feed the World.”
The helmet cart can be seen on the sidelines of Jack Trice Stadium during Saturday’s game. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
