DES MOINES, Iowa — As discussed, it’s been a cooler and breezier Saturday, with winds gusting over 25 mph at times. We’ll see a similar day on Sunday.

Dewpoints stay on the drier side as we head into the beginning of the week. Lows to start the school year will be at 50 degrees Monday morning and 49 degrees Tuesday morning in the metro.

Our only tiny rain chance through Friday comes in the form of possible isolated showers in northern Iowa on Thursday. We’ve fallen into the dry range rainfall-wise for August, with not much in the way of rain anticipated until next Sunday or Monday.

Highs for the next six days are above, and your 7-day forecasts are below. Extended forecasts look to keep our highs below average until the very end of the month.
