NASCAR Cup Series will return to Iowa Speedway for third year in a row

NEWTON, Iowa — NASCAR announced on Wednesday that it will be returning to the Iowa Speedway next year.

The NASCAR Cup Series will once again take place at the Iowa Speedway in Newton on the weekend of Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9, 2026. Officials say the return is thanks to the support from fans and Iowa farmers.

“There is no destination on the Cup Series schedule quite like Iowa Speedway, and we are proud that it has become a can’t-miss destination for NASCAR fans,” Iowa Speedway President Eric Peterson said in a statement. “Thanks to their incredible support of NASCAR and our partners at Iowa Corn and Hy-Vee, Iowa Speedway has showcased the Hawkeye state and its love for racing to the world.”

The 2026 race weekend will include the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series’ Hy-Vee PERKS 250 and the Iowa Corn 350 powered by Ethanol. Tickets for the races will go on sale to the public on December 2. For more information about the series and tickets, visit the Iowa Speedway’s website.

This will be the third year in a row that the Iowa Speedway has hosted the NASCAR Cup Series.
