ANKENY, Iowa — A small plane made an emergency landing on an Ankeny golf course Thursday morning.
Sgt. Trevor McGraw of the Ankeny Police Department said the plane experienced some engine troubles and the pilot was able to land the aircraft safely on the course at Briarwood Golf Club, near NE 36th Street and NE Delaware Avenue. It happened around 11:30 a.m. and the plane came to rest on the 12th hole of the course.

The FAA aircraft registry shows the plane is a single-engine Bellanca 7GCBC.
There were no injuries reported and no damage to the plane.
The plane is being towed off the course.
The FAA is investigating the emergency landing.
