IOWA — Isolated storms brought some heavy rain to a few localized areas Tuesday afternoon and evening. The most rain was measured in Nevada with more than an inch there.


The isolated storms moved slowly northeast to northeast Iowa where the heaviest rain fell in the overnight hours.


The next round of rain and storms will move in late tonight and through Thursday morning. A few storms in northwest Iowa may be severe with damaging winds, hail, and heavy rain.

Isolated 1″ plus amounts are possible through Thursday morning, mainly in northwest Iowa.
